Casa Taris is an architectural and interior design project conceived as a legacy: a place where a family found its true identity. The name honors the client’s mother. The house is centered around a terrace that opens onto the sea, where all social life takes place. Flanking this area are the remaining social and service spaces.
The light color palette complements the natural contrasts of the ocean, the desert, and the sky. Polished concrete floors, wooden ceilings, and a kitchen that opens onto the family room—a home designed with children, pets, and years of enjoyment in mind. The design process involved close collaboration with the client to understand not only what the space required, but also how its inhabitants wanted to feel.
